Job summary

Mary Washington Healthcare seeks a Level II Competent Registered Nurse to deliver comprehensive, patient-centered care. You will work with the care team using the nursing process and evidence-based practice to improve outcomes for a designated patient group at Mary Washington Hospital and Stafford Hospital locations.

Requires RN license in Virginia or compact, BSN preferred, BLS provider CPR and NIHSS at hire, and 2 years of recent acute care experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program and RN experience.
• Valid RN License from Virginia or reciprocal compact state.
• BSN is preferred.
• AHA BLS Provider CPR required at hire.
• NIHSS (Bluecloud) required at hire.
• Additional certifications per unit.
• 2 years of recent RN acute care experience required.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate nursing care with licensed/unlicensed staff.
• Coordinate patient/family and health team involvement in care.
• Communicate plan of care to health team members.
• Assist leadership to define standards of excellence in patient care.
• Participate in performance improvement and quality activities.
• Participate in staff orientation and committees.
• Provide input to unit needs and participate in hospital policies.
