Job summary

Complete Care Management in Wilmington, DE is hiring an RN Staff Educator Infection Control to lead infection prevention in a long-term care setting.

You will collaborate with facility leadership, train staff, and maintain records to ensure compliance and resident safety. This is a full-time, day-shift role with on-call weekend rotation; Delaware RN license and LTC experience required.

Qualifications

• Supervisory experience in long-term care setting preferred.
• Teaching/training in an adult environment, infection control training.
• Computer knowledge.
• Willing to complete CDC Infection Control Training Certification within 60 days of employment if not certified.
• Long-term care experience required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with facility leadership to develop, implement, and evaluate annual infection prevention goals and action plans.
• Establish a facility-wide system for prevention, identification, investigation, and control of infections with surveillance.
• Maintain records of staff development programs for all personnel within the facility.
• Work with department heads to assess ongoing learning needs to meet resident and facility needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Director of Nursing and Administrator.

NOW HIRING: RN Staff Educator Infection Control Nurse

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the facility leadership and medical director to develop, implement, and evaluate the annual infection prevention goals and action plan.

• Establish a facility-wide system for the prevention, identification, investigation, and control of infections of residents, staff, and visitors.This will include surveillance designed to identify possible communicable disease or infections before they spread.

• Maintain accurate, complete, and up-to-date records of on-going staff development programs for all personnel within facility.

• Works closely with department heads to assess the on-going learning needs of employees to meet the needs of the residents and the facility.

• Other duties as assigned by Director of Nursing and Administrator.

Qualifications:

• Supervisory experience in long-term care setting preferred.

• Previous teaching and training in an adult environment, experience in infection control training.

• Computer knowledge.

• Must be willing to complete CDC Infection Control Training Certification within 60 days of employment if not already certified.

• Long-term care experience required

License:

• Must have an Active RN Registered Nurse license to practice in the state of Delaware
