Job summary

Complete Care in Nebraska is seeking an RN Nurse Educator and Infection Preventionist for the day shift in a long-term care setting. You will collaborate with facility leadership to develop and implement infection prevention goals and staff development programs.

The ideal candidate is a registered nurse with long-term care experience, strong teaching skills, and the ability to work independently or with a team. Prior infection prevention or nurse educator experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Prior experience managing staff is preferred.
• Ability to work independently or part of a group.
• Computer knowledge is expected.
• Previous long term care experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with facility leadership and medical director to develop, implement, and evaluate annual infection prevention goals and action plan.
• Establish a facility-wide system for prevention, identification, investigation, and control of infections for residents, staff, and visitors, including surveillance.
• Maintain accurate, complete, and up-to-date records of staff development programs for all personnel in the facility.
• Work closely with department heads to assess ongoing learning needs of employees to meet residents and facility needs.
• Other duties as assigned by Director of Nursing and Administrator.

Responsibilities:
