Job summary

Complete Care in Towson, MD is seeking an RN Nurse Educator Infection Preventionist for a full-time day shift in a long-term care setting to lead infection control initiatives and staff education.

The role requires prior nurse educator or staff development experience in LTC, active RN license, and CDC infection control training. You will collaborate with physicians and management to ensure regulatory compliance and high-quality resident care.

Qualifications

• 2yrs Long Term Care Supervisory Experience Required.
• CDC Infection Control training Certified (or willing to obtain within 60d).
• Ability to work independently or as part of a group.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional and technical guidance to nursing staff and participate in nursing department management.
• Collaborate with physicians, managers, and staff for infection prevention and control.
• Plan, organize, and direct staff development educational programs across the facility.
• Provide learning opportunities to ensure staff can perform duties safely and effectively.
• Ensure duties align with local, state, and federal guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Director of Nursing and Administrator.

Responsibilities

• Providing professional and technical guidance to subordinate nursing staff and participates in all management functions of the nursing department
• IP collaborates and consults with physicians, managers, and staff for the management and prevention of infectious diseases.
• Plan, organize, develop, and direct all staff development educational programs throughout the facility.
• Providing learning opportunities that will enable all employees to gain knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary to perform their assigned duties safely and effectively.
• Perform all duties in accordance with local, state, and federal guidelines.
• Other duties as assigned by the Director of Nursing and Administrator.
