Job summary

Complete Care at Hillside is hiring an RN Nurse Practice Educator/Infection Preventionist to lead infection prevention initiatives in a long-term care setting. The role collaborates with facility leadership and medical director to develop annual goals, implement action plans, and monitor outcomes.

The position requires an active RN license, supervisory experience in long-term care, and willingness to complete CDC Infection Control Training within 60 days.

Qualifications

• Willing to complete CDC Infection Control Training Certification within 60 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with facility leadership and medical director to develop, implement, and evaluate annual infection prevention goals and action plan.
• Establish a facility-wide system for the prevention, identification, investigation, and control of infections of residents, staff, and visitors.
• Maintain accurate, complete, and up-to-date records of ongoing staff development programs for all personnel within the facility.
• Work closely with department heads to assess ongoing learning needs of employees to meet residents' and facility's needs.
• Other duties as assigned by Director of Nursing and Administrator.

NOW HIRING: Nurse Practice Educator/Infection Preventionist

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the facility leadership and medical director to develop, implement, and evaluate the annual infection prevention goals and action plan.
• Establish a facility-wide system for the prevention, identification, investigation, and control of infections of residents, staff, and visitors. This will include surveillance designed to identify possible communicable disease or infections before they spread.
• Maintain accurate, complete, and up-to-date records of on-going staff development programs for all personnel within facility.
• Work closely with department heads to assess the on-going learning needs of employees to meet the needs of the residents and the facility.
• Other duties as assigned by Director of Nursing and Administrator.

Qualifications:

• Supervisory experience in long-term care setting preferred.
• Previous teaching and training in an adult environment, experience in infection control training.
• Computer knowledge.
• Must be willing to complete CDC Infection Control Training Certification within 60 days of employment if not already certified.
• Long-term care experience required

License:

• Must have an Active RN license.
