Job summary

Signature HealthCARE of Norfolk is seeking a Staff Development Coordinator to lead training for the nursing department, ensuring regulatory compliance and elevating resident care through ongoing education.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with current state licensure.
• Minimum three (3) years of clinical experience in health care; long-term care preferred.
• Must have a current/active CPR certification.
• Knowledgeable of nursing practices, procedures, laws and long-term care regulations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement job skills training and in-service education for nursing staff.
• Regularly assess CNA skill competency and provide one-on-one instruction when needed.
• Provide skill training to new staff in deficient areas prior to resident care.
