Job summary

Signature HealthCARE is seeking a Staff Development Coordinator in Chapel Hill, NC to lead training and education for nursing staff. The role emphasizes developing and delivering in-service education, ensuring competency of CNAs, and guiding new staff through skill development in a long-term care setting.

The ideal candidate is a licensed RN with CPR certification and at least three years of clinical experience, preferably in long-term care, with a detail-oriented, training-driven mindset.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with current state licensure.
• Minimum three years of clinical experience in a healthcare setting; long-term care experience preferred.
• Current/active CPR certification.
• Knowledgeable of nursing practices, regulations, and guidelines for long-term care.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement job skills training and in-service education as required by regulations and employee health monitoring for the nursing department.
• Regularly check the competency of CNAs, provide one-on-one instruction when necessary, and address developmental needs.
• Provide skill training to new staff in any deficient area before allowing the nursing assistant to perform tasks with residents.
