Job summary

Highland Ridge Rehab Center in Dublin, VA is seeking a Staff Development Coordinator to advance nursing education and professional development. The RN will design, implement, and evaluate training programs to enhance patient care quality and staff competence.

The role emphasizes collaboration with department managers, onboarding, and ongoing professional development while staying aligned with regulatory standards and best practices in healthcare education.

Qualifications

RN with a valid nursing license.
Bachelor's degree in Nursing; Master's preferred.
Experience as a nurse educator or staff development coordinator.
Strong clinical and educational background in nursing.
Familiarity with instructional design and adult learning.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance.
CNE certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and implement training programs for nursing staff.
Collaborate with department managers to identify training needs and areas for improvement.
Conduct training sessions, workshops, and simulations to ensure high-quality patient care.
Evaluate training effectiveness and adjust programs as needed.
Maintain training records and ensure regulatory compliance.
Support new employee orientation and ongoing professional development.
Stay updated on best practices and healthcare trends.
Act as a mentor for nursing staff and assist in competency development.
Foster lifelong learning and knowledge sharing within the nursing team.
Help develop clinical competencies and skills assessments.
