Job summary

Solaris HealthCare Osceola is seeking a Staff Development Coordinator (RN) to assess training needs of nursing staff, develop, implement, and evaluate staff development programs, including orientation and continuing education, in compliance with state Nurse Practice Act.

Licensed RN in Florida required; BSN preferred. Two years of teaching experience in long-term care is preferred. This role includes collaboration with nursing leadership and adherence to AHCA background screening requirements.

Qualifications

• Licensed RN in the state; CPR certification.
• BSN preferred for this role.
• Two years of teaching/training experience preferred in healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains written annual staff development plan for nursing personnel.
• Coordinates orientation for new hires and job-specific training.
• Acts as preceptor and resource person to staff during orientation.
• Plans and conducts in-service programs meeting regulatory and corporate requirements.
• Collaborates with ADON to assess learning needs and document competency validation.
