Job summary

Laurel Health Care Company seeks a Staff Development Coordinator at The Laurels of Bedford. This RN educator will lead orientation, ongoing in-service education, and development programs for nursing staff across shifts to support high-quality care.

With 1–3 years in long-term care preferred and CPR certification, you will design educational programs, monitor attendance, and help maintain regulatory compliance within the facility.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in long-term care is preferred.
• RN licensure in Michigan is required.
• CPR certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Designs, plans and provides educational programs for all shifts and departments.
• Participates in staff evaluation by maintaining attendance records and observing performance.
• Provides general facility orientation to all new employees and ongoing in-service education.
• Plans and provides monthly and annual schedules of education programs.
• Ensures CNAs/STNAs meet annual 12-hour in-service requirements.
• Participates in quality assurance and reports concerns to supervisor.
