Job summary

The Laurels of Bedford is seeking a Staff Development Coordinator who is an RN with a passion for teaching. You will design and provide educational programs, conduct orientations, and lead in-service training for nursing staff across shifts.

Responsibilities include maintaining attendance records, planning monthly and annual education schedules, and ensuring CNA/STNA meet annual in-service requirements. CPR certification and RN licensure required.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in long-term care preferred.
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Designs, plans and provides educational programs on all shifts and for all departments.
• Maintains attendance records and observes employee performance during staff evaluations.
• Provides general facility orientation to all new employees and ongoing in-service education.
• Plans and provides a monthly and annual schedule of planned education programs.
• Ensures CNA/STNA meet the annual 12-hour in-service requirement.
• Participates in quality assurance and reports concerns to supervisor.
