Job summary

Laurel Health Care Company is seeking a Staff Development Coordinator with an active RN license to lead education for our nursing staff. The role conducts orientation and has the opportunity to develop in-service programs for the nursing team across shifts.

The position emphasizes designing, implementing and tracking educational activities, ensuring mandatory in-service hours for CNAs/STNAs, and collaborating with the supervisor to drive quality improvement and staff development.

Qualifications

• RN licensure required in the state.
• Experience designing and delivering education for nursing staff.
• Ability to conduct orientation and ongoing in-service programs.

Responsibilities

• Designs, plans and provides educational programs on all shifts and for all departments.
• Provides general facility orientation to new employees and ongoing in-service education.
• Plans and provides a monthly and annual schedule of planned education programs.
• Ensures CNAs/STNAs meet the annual 12-hour in-service requirement.
• Participates in quality assurance and reports concerns to supervisor.
