Job summary

Liberty Healthcare and Rehabilitation Services in Burlington, NC is seeking an experienced Staff Development Coordinator (RN license required) to manage the facility's staff development program, provide orientation, and serve as the health nurse for personnel.

The role includes conducting training on blood-borne pathogens and hazard communication, overseeing in-house in-service, and supervising nursing staff during emergencies; RN experience in long-term care and CPR certification are required.

Qualifications

• RN license from NC Board of Nursing is required.
• Five years' nursing experience in long-term care or related education.
• CPR certified yearly.
• Ability to supervise staff and delegate tasks.
• Ability to teach orientation, continuing education, and in-services.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the staff development program for the facility.
• Serve as personnel health nurse for the facility.
• Provide employee orientation following policy.
• Conduct training on blood-borne pathogens and hazard communication.
• Instruct Nurse Aide Training Program as approved.
• Coordinate in-house in-service for staff.
• Assist Nursing Management in reviewing incident reports.
• Act as charge nurse or supervisor during nursing emergencies.
