Job summary

Civita Care Center at Milford is hiring a Staff Development Coordinator / RN to provide education, training, consultative and support services to the management team, staff and patients. This role focuses on assessing learning needs, developing educational offerings, and collaborating with nursing leadership to enhance unit-specific education.

The position offers part-time hours (32 per week) with a flexible schedule, including one weekend per month on call, and a full benefits package including

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.

Responsibilities

• Determines learning needs of staff using various methods to maintain or improve competency.
• Conducts formal and informal competency assessments with staff and nursing leadership.
• Utilizes data collected by PI, Nursing Leadership, Nursing Standards, staff, and nursing leadership to develop educational offerings.
• Collaborates with nursing leadership to determine unit-specific educational needs.
• Assists in the growth and development of staff with Nursing Leadership Team.
• Assesses learning needs of orientees and plans a comprehensive orientation.

Duties and Responsibilities for Nursing Staff Development Coordinator:

• Determines the learning needs of staff in using a variety of methods in order to maintain or improve their competency
• Conducts formal and informal competency assessments with staff and nursing leadership.
• Utilizes data collected by PI, Nursing Leadership, Nursing Standards, staff, and nursing leadership to develop educational offerings
• Collaborates with members of the nursing leadership team to determine unit-specific educational needs
• In conjunction with the Nursing Leadership Team, assists in the growth and development of staff
• Assesses the learning needs of the orientees and plans a comprehensive orientation
