Job summary

Bethesda Health Group is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to accurately assess residents' health status and coordinated care with the interdisciplinary team. You will document plans, implement nursing interventions, and communicate changes to physicians and families.

The role emphasizes safety, timely med administration, and ongoing quality improvement. The position requires active RN licensure in the state, CPR/AED certification, and the ability to work with residents in a long-term care

Qualifications

• RN licensure in the state of employment.
• Education from an accredited nursing program resulting in RN.
• CPR/AED certification or willingness to obtain within six months.
• Long-term care experience preferred.
• Must possess critical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication skills with patients, visitors, and staff.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods.
• Ability to lift heavy objects using proper lifting techniques and with assistance as necessary.
• Ability to transfer/move patients weighing 200+ lbs with assistance.
• Ability to push/pull equipment weighing over 40 lbs with assistance.
• Manual dexterity and good hand coordination.
• Visual acuity to distinguish color.
• Ability to perform documentation electronically and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Accurately assesses residents' health status upon admission and ongoing.
• Communicates changes in condition to IDT.
• Documents assessments and care plans.
• Develops and revises care plans with IDT, residents, and families.
• Documents care plans and regulatory requirements.
• Identifies nursing interventions including orders and educational needs.
• Administers medications and performs treatments and IVs safely.
• Notifies physicians promptly using SBARR.
• Responds calmly to crises and upholds quality processes.
• Supports call light response and daily resident care.
