Job summary

Bethesda Health Group is seeking a registered nurse (RN) to join our team and support residents in a long-term care setting in Illinois. You will assess health status at admission and throughout stays, develop and adjust care plans, and collaborate with physicians, families, and IDT members to ensure quality care.

The role requires RN licensure, CPR/AED certification, and a commitment to critical thinking, strong communication, and accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• RN license in the state you will be working.
• CPR/AED certification required, or willing to obtain within six months of employment.
• Long-term care experience preferred.
• Must possess critical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with patients, visitors, and staff.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods.
• Ability to lift heavy objects using proper lifting techniques with assistance as necessary.
• Ability to transfer and move patients up to 200+ lbs using proper lifting techniques.
• Ability to push/pull equipment weighing over 40 lbs with assistance.
• Manual dexterity and ability to document accurately.

Responsibilities

• Accurately assesses residents' health status on admission and ongoing basis.
• Develops dynamic care plans with IDT and communicates plan to residents and families.
• Reviews and revises care plans as needs change and documents required information.
• Assists in nursing interventions including medications, treatments, and IV fluids.
• Maintains composure during crises and communicates using SBARR.
• Monitors care delivery and participates in QAPI for immediate problem resolution.
• Performs required documentation electronically and in writing.
