Description:Daily parking is available on campus.Candidates must be flexible with scheduling and floating.Candidates are required to work every other weekend.Experience with EPIC is required.Successful candidates typically have 3 or more years of experience, previous travel experience, and experience in a busy hospital setting.The unit has 12 beds.Nurse to patient ratios range from 1:2 to 1:3, depending on patient acuity and admissions.RNs will need to titrate various drips including vasopressin, epinephrine, levophed, heparin, dobutamine, and others.A charge nurse is present on each shift, and may take a full assignment depending on staffing needs.Patient care techs may be available intermittently based on census.Intensivists and Advanced Practice Providers are on-site 24/7.Respiratory Therapy is available in the unit 24/7.RNs are required to read telemetry strips as there are no techs available in the unit.Shifts are scheduled based on unit needs, and self-scheduling is not allowed.Weekend requirements are 4-6 days every 6 weeks, subject to coverage needs.There may be standby requirements, which are infrequent.RNs may be asked to float to other ICUs based on skill set and unit needs.Scrub color consists of teal bottoms and black or printed coordinating scrub tops.Professional appearance is expected, with restrictions on nail treatments and attire.The unit has specific orientation requirements for new hires.
