Description:We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse for the Surgical Intensive Care Unit.The position requires a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.Candidates should possess ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications.This is a mixed acuity unit with both ICU and step-down assignments.The ideal candidate will have experience with arterial line management, care of ventilated patients, and continuous IV sedation.Interpretation of arterial blood gases and dysrhythmias is essential.The nurse will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including IV teams, respiratory services, and pharmacy.Weekend shifts are required every other weekend.This position does not require on-call responsibilities.First-time travelers are welcome to apply.Must be able to float within the scope to meet facility needs.RTO restrictions apply, with greater than 7 days requiring approval.Local candidates will not be accepted.Pending license applications are acceptable if active before the start date.A reference is required for submission.All modules must be completed pre-start and annually, specific to the specialty.
