Description:Primarily focused on Progressive Care Unit with opportunities to float to Intensive Care Unit.Candidates may not be full-time, part-time, or PRN with any facility associated with the health system within the past year.Required to float between various facilities as needed.Rate differential is applicable when floated outside the primary location.State tax will be auto-deducted.Unit specializes in critical care with a total of 82 beds, including 48 in Intensive Care and 34 in Progressive Care.The staff-to-patient ratio is 1:1 or 1:2 in ICU and 1:3 in PCU.Charge nurses are available on each floor.Nurse aides are also present to assist on each floor.Weekend work is required every other weekend.Holiday rotations will be managed with permanent staff.No specific dress code for scrubs.The tele/monitor technician role is only in the Progressive Care Unit.The unit manages all ICU-level infusions.Ventilation support for patients is available in the Intensive Care Unit only.There is support from medical professionals during day shifts, with virtual options available for night shifts.An IV team is available 24/7, along with respiratory therapy and pharmacy services.Shifts are from 7 AM to 7 PM and 7 PM to 7 AM.Floating may occur between all ICUs and Progressive Care Units.Onboarding will involve a week of training with an educator, with a minimum of 2 shifts required.Common diagnoses include a wide range of critical care conditions.No ventilator support is provided in the Progressive Care Unit.Progressive Care Unit medication administration includes certain infusions such as cardizem, nitro, insulin, and heparin, but does not involve pressor use.Travelers are not required to take IABP or CRRT unless they have that experience.Looking for strong medical-surgical registered nurses.Cancellation policy allows for shift cancellations up to 4 times within a 13-week assignment.Charting is performed using a specific electronic medical record system.A Bachelor of Science in Nursing is not a requirement.All travelers must possess 2 years of experience in the specialty field.
