Job summary

Laurel Lake Retirement Community, Inc. seeks an RN Supervisor to lead quality resident care during their shift and supervise state-approved resident assistants. The role ensures continuity and high standards of nursing care, with effective communication to residents, families, physicians, and the care team.

This leadership position participates in implementing procedures, monitors medication delivery, and ensures staff follow care plans and facility policies.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Licensure for a Registered Nursing in the State of Ohio.
• BLS Certification (CPR/First Aid)

Responsibilities

• Address resident, family and staff concerns/questions.
• Relay pertinent information to RN Supervisor.
• Serve as first-line supervisor to resident assistants.
• Prepare assignments, communicate resident needs and monitor nursing assistant performance.
• Complete charting for resident illness or unusual occurrence.
• Communicate with residents' responsible parties, physicians and team members.
• Organize and implement day-to-day operations of resident care in accordance with regulations.
• Assist in maintaining resident records.
• Ensure staff follow care plans and enhance resident independence and well-being.
• Participate in policy/procedure implementation and review.
