Job summary

The Laurels of Mt Pleasant, part of Ciena Healthcare, is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to oversee and coordinate resident care on assigned shifts in compliance with applicable regulations. The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care plans while ensuring safety and high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years of nursing experience in long-term or sub-acute settings preferred.
• Current state RN license to practice.
• Current CPR certification or CPR certification within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Supervises LPNs, Medication Aides, CNAs/STNAs and other staff providing direct care.
• Plans, assigns, and directs work in alignment with resident needs and staff capabilities.
• Prepares work assignments, adjusting for staffing levels and resident safety.
• Receives staffing-related calls and arranges replacements as needed.
• Transfers employees among units per staffing demands.
• Completes performance evaluations and provides input on hiring, disciplining, or terminating staff.
• Oversee unit operations during absence of higher-level management.
• Use independent judgment in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
