Responsibilities

• Supervises and/or provides direct patient care and coordinates staff during shift.
• Responds to patient emergencies and acts as lead for disasters.
• Collaborates with staffing office to adjust staffing for census changes.
• Communicates with Charge Nurse about census, admissions, discharges, and issues.
• Supports unit management in productivity, staffing, and timekeeping.
• Participates in hospital committees as unit representative.
