Job summary

The Residential Care Director (RN) at Maine Veterans’ Homes leads the residential care unit, directing staff and ensuring individualized plans meet residents’ needs while complying with state, federal, and VA regulations.

You will supervise an interdisciplinary team, oversee admissions and care coordination, and drive continuous quality improvement to maintain residents’ independence, dignity, and high quality of life.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred; additional degrees not required
• Five+ years of clinical nursing experience preferred
• Long-term care and geriatrics experience preferred
• Experience leading interdisciplinary teams and developing care plans

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and development for residential care staff.
• Oversee resident care delivery and care plan evaluations.
• Ensure compliance with state, federal, VA regulations and policies.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and audits.
• Participate in admissions and care coordination
