Maine Veterans' Homes Bangor is seeking an experienced RN Nurse Manager to lead the nursing team and oversee a designated unit, coordinating care and ensuring high-quality, compassionate service.

This role combines clinical expertise with leadership, guiding staff, evaluating care plans, and ensuring regulatory compliance while partnering with nursing leadership to enhance residents' quality of life.

Qualifications

• Current Maine RN license.
• Knowledge of nursing standards and regulations.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to supervise diverse nursing team.
• Ability to work independently and with others.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations of assigned nursing unit.
• Coordinate and evaluate resident care plans.
• Provide clinical leadership to nursing staff.
• Monitor residents' conditions and follow-up with care team.
• Ensure nursing documentation and MDS-related records are accurate.
• Monitor medication processes and conduct audits.
• Ensure appropriate staffing and assignments.
• Coach, mentor, and evaluate nursing staff.
• Participate in hiring and supervision responsibilities.
• Address resident/family concerns and drive quality initiatives.
• Collaborate with leadership on operations and strategy.
