Job summary

Maine Veterans' Homes is seeking an RN Charge to join our Residential Care team in a working leadership role. You will lead, mentor, and provide clinical oversight while remaining actively involved in resident care to ensure safety and compassion for our Veterans.

You will guide CRMAs and PSSs, respond to residents’ needs, and support the team to meet changing care needs. This role emphasizes hands-on leadership from the floor and ongoing resident connection.

Qualifications

  • Current unencumbered RN license to practice in the State of Maine
  • Ability to understand and respond to residents’ needs and inquiries in English is required
  • Basic computer skills

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and clinical oversight throughout shift and mentor team members

Maine Veterans’ Homes is seeking a compassionate and experienced RN Charge to join our Residential Care team. This is a working leadership position for an RN who enjoys providing clinical guidance, supporting a team, and making a meaningful difference in the lives of our Veterans.

As the RN Charge, you will provide leadership and clinical oversight throughout your shift, serving as a resource to our Certified Residential Medication Aides (CRMAs) and Personal Support Specialists (PSSs). You will help ensure residents receive safe, compassionate, person-centered care while supporting your team in meeting the changing needs of those we serve.

As a working leader, you will remain actively involved in resident care. This hands‑on approach allows you to lead by example, stay connected to residents, and provide valuable support to your team.

Schedule

Includes some evenings and weekends, with flexibility built in
