Job summary

Hunterdon Health is seeking a Float Nurse in Flemington, NJ for a Temporary (Full-time) role. The position runs 7a-7:30p, including every other weekend, with Days/Evenings & Weekends. Hiring range is $43.50–$63.25 per hour.

The Nurse Residency Program (NRP) supports orientation and professional development over 12 months, focusing on critical thinking, patient safety, leadership, communication, and evidence-based practice. A BSN or enrollment in BSN is required.

Qualifications

• All hires after July 2012 must have a Bachelor’s Degree in nursing or be enrolled in a BSN program with proof of enrollment and a plan to complete within 5 years.
• One year of acute care experience preferred.
• Current NJ RN licensure and American Heart Association CPR certification required.
• Must complete Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 6 months of hire.

Position Summary

Provides quality nursing care through the application of the nursing process using evidence based practice focusing on excellent outcomes and patient experience within the framework of Shared Governance.

The Nurse Residency Program (NRP) is designed to support and augment your orientation experience as you become acclimated to your new role as a professional nurse and acculturated to Hunterdon. The NRP will focus on critical thinking, patient safety, leadership skills, communication skills, evidence based practice and professional development. The program is 12 months with a monthly didactic session and capstone personal project that is presented at graduation.

Qualifications

Minimum Education

Required

All hires after July 2012 are required to have a Bachelor's Degree in nursing OR if Associates Degree or Diploma, RN must provide proof of enrollment in a BSN program prior to hire, be continuously enrolled and complete within 5 years of hire date or internal RN promotion date.

Preferred

One year of acute care experience.

Required

Current NJ RN licensure and American Heart Association CPR certification.

Preferred

Medical/Surgical Nurse certification, Oncology Nurse certification or other certification in specialty.

Required

Must complete Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 6 months of hire.
