Job summary

Hunterdon Health seeks an experienced Cardiovascular/Interventional Nursing professional at Flemington, NJ. The role requires BSN or enrollment in BSN program, NJ RN licensure, and ACLS/BLS certification.

You will provide focused patient care in a high-acuity setting, advocate for patients, document care, and support safety and teaching with families. Minimum two years as staff RN and one year in cardiovascular nursing are expected, with preferences for PCCN/CCRN.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in nursing required; BSN preferred or enrollment in BSN program within 5 years of hire.
• Two years' experience as staff RN; one year in cardiovascular nursing.
• Current NJ RN licensure with BLS and ACLS certification.
• Preferred: PCCN or CCRN certification.

Position Summary

Provides quality nursing care through the application of the nursing process using evidence based practice focusing on excellent outcomes and patient experience within the framework of Shared Governance.

Qualifications

Minimum Education:

All hires after July 2012 are required to have a Bachelor's Degree in nursing OR if Associates Degree or Diploma, RN must provide proof of enrollment in a BSN program prior to hire, be continuously enrolled and complete within 5 years of hire date or internal RN promotion date.

Minimum Years of Experience (Amount, Type and Variation):

Minimum of two years experience as staff RN. Minimum of one year experience as cardiovascular RN.

Preferred:

Previous experience in cardiac catheterization nursing

License, Registry or Certification:

Current NJ RN licensure and BLS and ACLS certification.

Preferred:

Certification in specialty, PCCN, CCRN, Cardiac Vascular

Required:

Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities:

• Must pass annual clinical competency based program and mandated in-service education.
• Unit specific skills may include but not limited to IV therapy, basic arrhythmia interpretation, vent training, critical care, conscious sedation, Bi-Pap/CPAP and EndTidal CO2, IABP, Impella, and other procedure related technologies.
• Skills will be determined by a challenge exam and/or skill performance or by completion of a Staff Development course.
