The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, NJ RN licensure, CPR and ACLS certification, and 3 years of acute care experience, with leadership experience preferred.

The Nurse Manager is responsible for the direction, provision, and quality of patient care services provided and shall work collaboratively with the Director in the management of the daily operations of the department.
Provides clinical support to Nurse Residents/Registered Nurses during orientation and transition from novice to experienced RN.
Facilitates and supports as they develop critical thinking skills, and provides educational experiences and mentoring that promote competent nursing practice and quality patient care.
Provides clinical support to PCAs, PCTs, Safety Sitters, and Unit Coordinators.

Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
Master’s degree in Nursing or related field
3 years of acute care experience in Critical Care and/or Medical/Surgical Nursing
2-3 years of leadership experience
Current NJ RN licensure and American Heart Association CPR certification, Advanced Cardiac Life Support
Certification in specialty
Must pass annual clinical competency-based program and mandated in-service education. Unit-specific skills may include but are not limited to IV therapy, basic arrhythmia interpretation, vent training, critical care, conscious sedation, Bi-Pap/CPAP, and EndTidal CO2.
Skills will be determined by a challenge exam and/or skill performance or by completion of a Staff Development course. NIH Stroke certification
