Job summary

Hunterdon Health in Flemington, NJ seeks a Per Diem Registered Nurse to provide quality nursing care using the nursing process, evidence-based practice, and a focus on outcomes and patient experience within Shared Governance.

The role includes coordinating total patient care, documenting care, maintaining professional development, educating patients and families, advocating for patients, and ensuring patient safety; psychiatric nursing experience is preferred and licensure requirements apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing required or enrollment plan for BSN within 5 years of hire.
• Associates Degree with 2 years of experience in the specialty accepted in lieu of BSN.
• Current NJ RN licensure and American Heart Association CPR certification.
• Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse certification preferred.
• Completion of Hunterdon Health’s approved behavior management training upon hire and annually thereafter.

Position Summary

Qualifications

Minimum Education:

Required:

All hires after July 2012 are required to have a Bachelor's Degree in nursing OR if Associates Degree or Diploma, RN must provide proof of enrollment in a BSN program prior to hire, be continuously enrolled and complete within 5 years of hire date or internal RN promotion date.

Associates Degree AND 2 years of experience in the specialty area will be accepted in lieu of BSN.

Preferred:

Acute Care Psychiatric Experience

Required:

License, Registry or Certification

Current NJ RN licensure and American Heart Association CPR certification

Preferred:

Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse certification or other specialty certification.
