Job summary

The HCA Healthcare Residency Program at LewisGale Hospital Montgomery offers a year-long, paid residency to bridge from student nurse to registered nurse. It provides supported learning, hands-on clinical experiences, and a transition through mentoring and simulations with a campus of nurse educators and peers.

You will participate in advanced clinical training, monthly education sessions, preceptorship, and evidence-based projects while delivering patient-centered care in a busy hospital

Qualifications

• BLS obtained within 30 days of employment.
• ACLS obtained within 1 year of employment.
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
• RN License or Graduate Nurse in the state.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition during admission and each shift; report changes.
• Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by provider.
• Administer prescribed medications; monitor response and escalate as needed.
• Provide exceptional care; respond promptly to patient requests.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers about condition, plan, meds.
