Job summary

HCA Florida Capital Hospital offers a year-long RN Residency Program to transition graduates to licensed nurses. The program includes advanced clinical training, monthly educational sessions, preceptorship, and mentoring from experienced nurse leaders.

Residents will gain hands-on experience across Med/Surg, Orthopedics, Oncology, Tele/Neuro, IMCU, ICU, and ER with a focus on evidence-based practice projects, supervised by nurse educators and peers. Starts: 2/1/2027, 3/15/2027, 4/19/2027.

Qualifications

• RN Residency program requires basic nursing knowledge and patient care skills.
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing is required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications are expected or obtained within specified timeframes.
• Registered Nurse license in the state or graduate nurse status is required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.
• Assess patient condition during admission and shifts, report changes.
• Administer medications and monitor therapeutic responses.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and follow-up.
