Job summary

LewisGale Hospital Montgomery offers a one-year RN Residency Program designed to transition student nurses to registered nurses with hands-on clinical experience and mentorship from seasoned nurses and educators.

Participants receive structured learning experiences, including advanced clinical training, monthly education sessions, preceptorship, and evidence-based practice projects, all within a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required within 30 days of employment.
• ACLS certification required within 1 year of employment.
• Other certifications may be required during employment.
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree (as stated).

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition during admission and each shift.
• Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor therapeutic response.
• Respond promptly to patient requests and anticipate needs.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and follow-up.
