Job summary

TriCities Hospital in Virginia hosts the HCA Healthcare Residency Program for nursing graduates. This paid, year-long RN residency provides structured hands-on experiences, simulations, and a mentored transition from student nurse to registered nurse.

Qualifications

• BLS obtained within 30 days of employment
• ACLS obtained within 1 year of employment
• Other Certifications may be required during employment
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing program
• Registered Nurse License or Graduate Nurse in the State

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition during admission and during each shift, reporting changes
• Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s)
• Administer prescribed medications, monitor response, and notify provider if needed
• Provide exceptional care by promptly responding to patient requests
• Teach patients, families and caregivers about condition, status and treatment plan
