Job summary

LewisGale Medical Center invites new graduate nurses to join the HCA Healthcare Residency Program, a year-long pathway designed to bridge classroom learning with hands-on clinical practice in a supportive environment.

You will receive mentorship from nurse educators and experienced clinicians, participate in a series of learning experiences, and work on an evidence‑based practice project while advancing toward RN licensure. This program emphasizes patient‑centered care and skill development.

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of employment.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 1 year of employment.
• Other certifications may be required during employment.
• Registered Nurse license or Graduate Nurse in the state.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition during admission and each shift; report changes.
• Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered; document care.
• Administer prescribed medications; monitor response and report issues.
• Deliver exceptional care; respond promptly to patient requests.
• Educate patients and families about condition, plan, medications, and follow-up.
