LewisGale Hospital Pulaski in Pulaski, VA, is launching the HCA Healthcare Residency Program for new graduate nurses. This paid, year-long residency combines hands-on clinical experiences with learning sessions and mentorship to ease the transition from student to registered nurse.

Residents will receive advanced clinical training, monthly education, preceptorship, and hands-on simulations, with a structured path to practice in alignment with state standards and patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• BLS obtained within 30 days of employment.
• ACLS obtained within 1 year of employment.
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing program.
• RN license or graduate nurse in the state.

Responsabilités

• Assess patient condition during admission and each shift; report changes.
• Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered; document care.
• Administer prescribed medications; monitor response and intervene if needed.
• Respond promptly to patient requests and anticipate needs.
• Teach patients and families about conditions, treatments and follow‑up.
