Job summary

St John's Lutheran Community is seeking an RN Staff Development/Infection Preventionist to educate staff, oversee competencies, and ensure adherence to clinical standards and regulatory guidelines.

You will implement and monitor an infection prevention program while supporting ongoing education for staff and new hires.

Qualifications

• Must hold MN RN license and CPR certification.
• Certification in infection prevention and control or willingness to obtain it.
• Wound certification or willingness to obtain it.
• Prefer 2 years’ experience in a skilled nursing facility.
• Demonstrate leadership by inspiring staff to upgrade skills and knowledge.
• Understand and follow state and federal guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Educate staff and oversee competencies for ongoing clinical education.

Job description

RN Staff Development/Infection Preventionist has multi responsibilities: as Staff Development you are responsible for educating staff, overseeing competencies and following state and federal guidelines. Assisting new employees and continuing education for current employees. As Infection Preventionist you are responsible for the implementation and on-going monitoring of an infection control program based on clinical standards of practice and clinical guidelines, as well as regulatory compliance.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Must have current MN RN license and CPR certification.

• Certification in infection prevention and control or willingness to get it.

• Wound certified or willing to get certified.

• Prefer 2 years’ experience in a skilled nursing facility.

• Demonstrate strong leadership by actively inspiring staff to upgrade their skills and clinical knowledge, ensuring the highest standards of resident care.

• Understanding and following state and federal guidelines.
