Job summary

Firelands Regional Medical Center in Sandusky, OH seeks a full-time RN or LPN-IV Psych for 7a-7p to provide compassionate psychiatric care on-site. The role emphasizes nursing process, patient assessments, and education for safe discharge.

You will respond to emergencies, manage medications and supplies, and uphold FRMC standards while benefiting from a $5,000 retention bonus and comprehensive employee offerings.

Qualifications

• Must have a current Ohio RN or LPN-IV license and CPR prior to patient care experience.
• Psychiatric Certification, Basic EKG, and ACLS preferred.
• Excellent organizational, customer service skills, and computer proficiency are a must.

Responsibilities

• Implements the nursing process with patients including carrying out physicians orders regarding diet, medication and treatment in accordance with Firelands standards of care.
• Performs assessments; monitors and ensures quality care through observation and evaluation; documents nursing interventions on care plans, medical records, and reports findings to physicians as needed.
• Instructs patients, staff, and family members regarding treatments, nursing plans and related patient care directed towards a safe discharge.
• Responds to emergencies; maintains availability of medications and supplies; ensures cleanliness of equipment and environment.
• Demonstrate service excellence and acts as an ambassador and advocate for FRMC.
