Job summary

Firelands Regional Medical Center in Sandusky, OH seeks an experienced RN to implement the nursing process and carry out physician orders in line with our standards of care. You will perform assessments, monitor and document care plans, educate patients and families, respond to emergencies, maintain medications and supplies, and advocate for service excellence as a FRMC ambassador.

Current Ohio RN license and CPR are required; PALS, ACLS, TNCC are preferred or will be obtained within 6 months of

Qualifications

• Must have a current Ohio RN license and CPR prior to patient care experience.
• Prefer at least 1 year of experience.
• Current PALS, ACLS, Basic EKG, and TNCC required or obtained within 6 months of hire.
• Excellent organizational, customer service skills, and computer proficiency are a must.

Responsibilities

• Implements the nursing process with patients including carrying out physicians orders regarding diet, medication and treatment in accordance with Firelands standards of care.
• Performs assessments; monitors and ensures quality care through observation and evaluation; documents nursing interventions on care plans, medical records, and reports findings to physicians as needed.
• Instructs patients, staff, and family members regarding treatments, nursing plans and related patient care directed towards a safe discharge.
• Responds to emergencies; maintains availability of medications and supplies; ensures cleanliness of equipment and environment.
• Demonstrate service excellence and acts as an ambassador and advocate for FRMC.
