Job summary

BayCare Health System in Winter Haven, FL seeks an OR Registered Nurse (Days) to provide patient care in the operating room. This full-time role supports a sub-specialty group with nursing processes, clinical standards, and team delegation.

Two years RN experience required, with preference for 1 year OR experience. Certification requirements include BLS and RN licensure; ACLS/CNOR as needed by department. In-person, 10-hour shifts, on-call, with professional growth opportunities.

Responsibilities

• RN independently cares for a sub-specialty group of patients using the nursing process and clinical standards
• RN delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team
• RN is responsible for professional accountability and development according to best practice standards set forth by a nationally recognized specialty organization
• RN also performs the role of preceptor and charge nurse when assigned

Position Details:

• Location: Winter Haven Hospital
• Status: Fulltime
• Shift: 10 hr shift; Variable start times between 6:30 AM - 9:30 AM
• On Call: Yes
• Always in person

Summary:

The Operating Room RN responsibilities include:

• RN independently cares for a sub-specialty group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards
• RN delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team
• RN is responsible for professional accountability and development according to best practice standards set forth by a nationally recognized specialty organization
• RN is also performs the role of preceptor and charge nurse when assigned

This position requires a minimum of two years of experience as an RN. For this position, we strongly prefer at least 1 year RN experience in the Operating Room for consideration.
