Job summary

BayCare seeks an experienced RN for the Ambulatory Operating Room at the Trinity Surgery Center in New Port Richey, FL. This part-time daytime role supports a busy ambulatory surgical service, with responsibilities spanning direct patient care and perioperative activities.

Ideal candidates will have RN licensure in Florida, 1+ year OR experience, and a strong bedside nursing background. BLS is required; ACLS per department policy. Join a large BayCare network known for clinical excellence.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year RN Operating Room experience required.
• Strong preference for at least 2 years RN experience.
• BLS certification required; ACLS if department requires.
• RN licensure valid in Florida; Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Care for a sub-specialty patient group using the nursing process and clinical standards.
• Delegate appropriate patient care activities to other health team members.
• Maintain professional accountability and develop according to standards set by a recognized specialty organization.
• Serve as preceptor and charge nurse when assigned.

Summary:

The Ambulatory Operating Room RN responsibilities include:

• RN independently cares for a sub-specialty group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards
• RN delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team
• RN is responsible for professional accountability and development according to best practice standards set forth by a nationally recognized specialty organization
• RN is also performs the role of preceptor and charge nurse when assigned

For this position, we strongly prefer at least 2 years of RN experience. For consideration, a minimum of 1 year of Operating Room experience as an RN is required. This is a Part-Time position set for 40 hours per bi-weekly pay period.
