Job summary

BayCare Health System in Winter Haven is seeking an Operating Room Registered Nurse for a full-time, in-person role. You will care for a sub-specialty patient group using the nursing process and clinical standards, while guiding the health care team as needed.

The role requires at least two years as an RN; one year OR experience is preferred. BLS and RN licensure are required. Shifts are 10 hours, with on-call and in-person work, and BayCare is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

Position Details

• Location: Winter Haven Hospital


• Status: Fulltime


• Shift: 10 hr shift; Variable start times between 6:30 AM - 9:30 AM


• On Call: Yes


• Always in person

Summary

The Operating Room RN responsibilities include:

• RN independently cares for a sub-specialty group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards


• RN delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team


• RN is responsible for professional accountability and development according to best practice standards set forth by a nationally recognized specialty organization


• RN is also performs the role of preceptor and charge nurse when assigned

This position requires a minimum of two years of experience as an RN. For this position, we strongly prefer at least 1 year RN experience in the Operating Room for consideration.
