Job summary

UAB Medicine in Birmingham, AL is seeking a Licensed Registered Nurse for the OB Emergency Department weekend shift. You will implement and monitor patient care plans, record patient conditions, and serve as a primary coordinator for multidisciplinary teams.

The role requires BLS and ACLS within specified timelines, and an Alabama nursing license. You will collaborate on discharge planning and ensure orders from physicians and nurses are executed accurately, supporting exceptional patient care.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider within 30 days of hire date or transfer date.
• ACLS (ALS) within 6 months of hire date or transfer date.
• Nurse licensed by Alabama Board of Nursing prior to hire.

Responsibilities

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Licensed Associate Professional Registered Nurse credentialed from the Alabama Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing AND professional licensure at time of hire required.
