Job summary

UAB Medicine in Alabama is seeking a Direct Nurse to provide bedside care for patients on the 7pm–7am shift, including one weekend per month, at UAB St Vincent's East. You will implement and monitor care plans and coordinate multidisciplinary teams.

The ideal candidate holds an accredited nursing degree, is licensed in Alabama, and can execute physician orders while supporting discharge planning. This role offers comprehensive benefits and a mission-driven work environment.

Qualifications

• BLS certification obtained within 1 month (30 days) of hire date.
• Licensed Associate Professional Registered Nurse credentialed from the Alabama Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Graduate of an accredited Nursing program; professional licensure at time of hire required.

• Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
