UAB Medicine in Birmingham, AL is seeking a Registered Nurse for a PRN role in the 3 Main, Med Surg department. You will provide direct nursing care, implement care plans, and coordinate multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care.

Requires a nursing diploma and Alabama RN licensure (or eligibility) with BLS within 30 days of hire. Eligible for benefits including generous paid time off and tuition reimbursement. Work location is UAB St Vincent's Birmingham.

Qualifications

• Diploma from an accredited nursing program and active licensure at hire.

Job Description

Provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the
healthcare organization.

• Implements and monitors patient care plans. Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
• Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.
• Assesses and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare
  team.

Qualifications

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Currently licensed or eligible to be licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the Alabama Board of Nursing required

Minimum Requirements:

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing AND professional licensure at time of hire required. One year of RN experience is required
