UAB Medicine in Alabama is seeking a Registered Nurse for PRN shifts in the 3 Main, MedSurg department located at UAB St Vincent's Birmingham. This role provides direct nursing care per established policies and coordinates patient care with the healthcare team. The ideal candidate holds a nursing Diploma and current Alabama RN license, with BLS certification.

Job Description

Provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the

• Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.


• Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.


• Assesses and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare
  team.

Qualifications

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.


• Currently licensed or eligible to be licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the Alabama Board of Nursing required

Minimum Requirements

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing AND professional licensure at time of hire required. One year of RN experience is required
