Job summary

UAB Medicine i s seeking a Registered Nurse for a PRN position at UAB St Vincent's in Birmingham. The role focuses on providing direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols and coordinating multidisciplinary care to ensure well-coordinated patient outcomes.

The successful candidate will implement and monitor care plans, document patient conditions, and support discharge planning with the care team.

Qualifications

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing.
• RN license by Alabama Board of Nursing.
• One year of RN experience required.

Job Description

Provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the
healthcare organization.

• Implements and monitors patient care plans. Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate.


• Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.


• Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.


• Assesses and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare
  team.

Qualifications

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.


• Currently licensed or eligible to be licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the Alabama Board of Nursing required

Minimum Requirements

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing AND professional licensure at time of hire required. One year of RN experience is required
