Job summary

Firelands Health is seeking a dedicated RN for a full-time night shift in Sandusky, OH. You will implement the nursing process, perform assessments, and educate patients and families to ensure safe discharge.

Emergency response readiness and adherence to care standards are essential as you support our mission and FRMC values. The role emphasizes strong organizational and customer service skills, with access to tuition reimbursement, loan forgiveness, comprehensive insurance, PTO, and a 401(k)

Qualifications

• Must have a current Ohio RN license and CPR prior to patient care.
• Current ACLS, Basic EKG, and PALS required or obtained within 6 months of hire.
• Excelled organizational, customer service skills, and computer proficiency are a must.

Responsibilities

• Implements the nursing process with patients including carrying out physicians orders regarding diet, medication and treatment in accordance with Firelands standards of care.
• Performs assessments; monitors and ensures quality care through observation and evaluation; documents nursing interventions on care plans, medical records, and reports findings to physicians as needed.
• Instructs patients, staff, and family members regarding treatments, nursing plans and related patient care directed towards a safe discharge.
• Responds to emergencies; maintains availability of medications and supplies; ensures cleanliness of equipment and environment.
• Demonstrate service excellence and acts as an ambassador and advocate for FRMC.
