Job summary

BayCare Health System is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the ICU in Clearwater, FL. The role requires a valid RN license and 2+ years in ICU with acute care experience, plus BLS/ACLS certifications.

The position is full-time, in-person, with a nights shift from 5:45 PM to 6:15 AM, and every other weekend." The team emphasizes compassionate care within a large hospital network, offering substantial benefits, ongoing training, and strong career growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• RN License in good standing.
• Nursing degree at least Diploma/Associate/Bachelor.
• 2 years RN ICU experience in acute care setting.
• Preferred 5 years RN ICU experience in acute care setting.
• BLS certification (American Red Cross or American Heart Association).
• ACLS certification (American Heart Association).

Responsibilities

• Works in a hospital setting and independently cares for a group of ICU patients using the nursing process and clinical standards.
• Delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team.
• Care for patient needs throughout their recovery in critical care.
• Monitor, record, and update care team on patient vitals and assessments.
• Identify sudden or subtle changes in a patient’s medical condition.
• Respond to medical emergencies for critical patients.
• Coordinates and documents discharge planning to ensure continuity of care after discharge.
• Maintain high emotional intelligence to create a positive patient experience and communicate clearly.
• Uphold professional accountability and ongoing development.

Requirements:

• RN (Registered Nurse) License

• Diploma, Associate’s, Bachelor's or Higher in Nursing

• Preferred Education: Bachelor's in Nursing

• 2-years' RN experience in the ICU in an Acute Care setting

• Preferred RN experience - 5-years in the ICU in an Acute Care setting

• BLS certification with the American Red Cross or American Heart Association

• ACLS certification with the American Heart Association
