Job summary

BayCare Health System in Tampa seeks an experienced RN for the Cardiovascular Operating Room (Days). The role supports a high-acuity surgical service line and requires a strong cardiovascular OR background.

Responsibilities include independent nursing care, supervision of team members, and acting as preceptor/charge nurse as assigned. Minimum 2 years RN experience; 1 year OR/CVOR experience preferred. On-site, full-time with occasional weekend coverage.

Position Details:

• Location: St. Joseph's Hospital, 3001 W Martin Luther King Jr Blvd, Tampa, FL 33677

• Status: Full-time

• Shift: 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM

• On Call: Yes

• Always in person

Summary:

The Operating Room RN responsibilities include:

• RN independently cares for a sub-specialty group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards

• RN delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team

• RN is responsible for professional accountability and development according to best practice standards set forth by a nationally recognized specialty organization

• RN is also performs the role of preceptor and charge nurse when assigned

This position requires a minimum of two years of RN experience. For consideration for this position, at least 1 year RN experience in the Cardiovascular Operating Room or Operating Room is required. Cardiovascular Operating Room experience is strongly preferred for this role.
