Job summary

BayCare Health System’s St. Joseph’s Hospital in Tampa is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Cardiac Surgical unit on nights. This PCU handles post-surgical open-heart patients after CVICU care.

The RN will provide patient-centered care using the nursing process, serve as preceptor/charge nurse when needed, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team. Requires RN license and BLS; ACLS preferred.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Nursing is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is required.
• RN license is required.
• ACLS, NIHSS, and PCCN certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Independently caring for a group of patients using the nursing process and clinical standards.

Position Description: RN - Registered Nurse - Cardiac Surgical

BayCare Health System is currently seeking a Registered Nurse to join our outstanding and compassionate Cardiac Surgical team at St. Joseph’s Hospital. The Cardiac Surgical unit is a PCU unit that receives post-surgical open-heart patients once they are stable from their CVICU stay.

The RN responsibilities include:

• Independently caring for a group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards.
• Delegating appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team.
• Professional accountability and development.
• Performing the role of preceptor and charge nurse when assigned.
